5 minute hummus recipe

Ideally hummus should be made from chickpeas you have prepared from the dry seeds but you can also cheat and use a can of chickpeas for a super quick solution!  You don’t need anything fancier than a hand held blender. A loaf of bread and some hummus is a classy, healthy alternative to bringing a packet of chips as a snack.

Sweet Chilli Hummus

1 can chickpeas

2-3 tbsp sweet chilli sauce

tbsp lemon juice

fresh chilli

fresh coriander leaves *optional*

Coriander Hummus

1 can chickpeas

fresh coriander leaves

tbsp lemon juice

fresh chilli

Peppadew Hummus

1 can chickpeas

4 tablespoons of the sauce from Peppadews

Some chilli

Teaspoon of cumin

Blend well until smooth.

Original Hummus

1 can chickpeas

2 tablespoons olive oil

2 tablespoons lemon juice

Teaspoon of cumin
